Dr. Urbasi Sinha

A Professor at the Raman Research Institute, Bengaluru, she heads their Quantum Information and Computing laboratory. She is a Simons Emmy Noether Fellow at the Premier Institute, Canada, and an Associate Faculty Member at the Institute for Quantum Computing, University of Waterloo and the Centre for Quantum Information and Quantum Control, University of Toronto. She earned her PhD and MSc at Cambridge University. She was a post-doctoral research associate in Cavendish Labs and at IQC Canada, a Gates Cambridge Scholar, and a Nehru-Chevening Scholar. Her scientific recognitions include the Homi Bhabha Fellowship and the ICTP-ICO Gallieno Denardo Award in Optics.
