Our Mandate

The Centre for National Security Studies (CNSS) was established through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between MS Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (MSRUAS) and the Army Training Command (ARTRAC), becoming operational on 1st July 2023.

Founded in 2023, CNSS serves as a multidisciplinary Centre of Excellence (CoE) dedicated to the study, research, and dissemination of knowledge on both Non-Traditional and Traditional National Security issues.

As a pioneering think tank based in the Indian peninsula, CNSS aims to integrate academic rigour with practical insights to develop innovative National Security solutions for India’s current and future challenges.
