Dr. Anshuman Behera

Dr. Anshuman Behera is a distinguished academic and senior researcher at the National Institute of Advanced Studies (NIAS), Bangalore, specializing in international relations and security studies. He holds a Ph.D. in International Relations and focuses on South Asian and Indo-Pacific geopolitics, defense diplomacy, and military strategy. His research at NIAS explores regional security dynamics, India’s strategic interests, and the impact of global power shifts. A prolific writer, he has authored widely cited papers on foreign policy, maritime security, and defense reforms. He contributes to policy briefs and think tank reports influencing India’s security discourse. Dr. Behera actively engages in national and international strategic dialogues and policy forums. As a mentor, he supports emerging scholars and promotes academic excellence in security studies. His work continues to shape India’s defense strategy and regional security thinking.
