Dr. Sudhir Krishna was born in New Delhi, India, and holds Indian citizenship. He earned his M.B.B.S. from St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore, and a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge. Dr. Krishna has held key academic and research positions at the National Centre for Biological Sciences, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (NCBS-TIFR), Bangalore, and is currently Program Director for Dengue Vaccines at NCBS-TIFR. He has received numerous prestigious awards and fellowships, including the Cambridge Nehru Scholarship and Rockefeller Biotechnology Career Fellowship. His research focuses on understanding cervical cancer progression and developing biomedical platforms for public health challenges, including Dengue vaccines. He has led collaborative initiatives in gene editing, HLA typing, and viral genomics, and expanded vaccine research through Indo-African partnerships. Dr. Krishna has mentored several students who now hold prominent faculty and research positions worldwide. His work is widely published and recognized for contributions to oncology, virology, and vaccine development.
