Ms. Sinduja Umandi Jayaratna

Ms. Sinduja Umandi Wickramasinghe Jayaratne is a Lecturer at General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU), Sri Lanka. She specializes in political science, terrorism, violent extremism, and intelligence studies. At KDU, she teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate students across security-related disciplines. Her academic and teaching focus lies in analyzing contemporary threats and national security challenges. Ms. Jayaratne’s expertise contributes to shaping future defense and security professionals in Sri Lanka. She is actively engaged in curriculum development and academic research in the field of security studies. Her work bridges theoretical knowledge and practical applications in counterterrorism and intelligence. She regularly participates in academic forums addressing regional and global security concerns.
