Prof. Arabinda Acharya

Dr. Arabinda Acharya is Associate Professor of Homeland Security Studies at Rabdan Academy, Abu Dhabi, and former Associate Professor of International Relations at the National Defense University, USA. He spent 12 years at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Singapore, as Research Fellow and Head of Strategic Projects. He also serves as adjunct faculty at Manipal University and is Director of the Centre for Peace and Development Studies. Dr. Acharya has held research positions at York University (Canada) and the Regional Centre for Strategic Studies, Colombo. He is Chief Consulting Editor with TRAC and on editorial boards of several international journals. Holding a PhD in International Relations (Australia), his research spans terrorism, political violence, regionalism, and maritime security. He has authored six books and published widely in reputed journals like Foreign Affairs, Washington Quarterly, and Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists.
