Dr Sruthi Kalyani is a Senior Research Officer with the Emerging and Deep Technologies Programme at the Centre for National Security Studies (CNSS). She holds a PhD in Chinese Studies from the Centre for East Asian Studies, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. Her research interests include China’s Artificial Intelligence strategy, emerging technologies in international affairs, human rights and technology governance, and critical security studies. She holds a master’s degree in international relations and Area Studies from JNU, and a bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering from Anna University, Tamil Nadu.
